There is a study that demonstrates that men between the ages of 25 and 35 with obesity have a 12 times higher level of mortality than other age demographics.
Other studies that conducted follow-up of 419,060 women and 336,442 men during 12 years, resulted in the conclusion that mortality in men with a 50 % of weight excess was double than those men with normal weight. While in the same weight group, mortality increases five more times in cases of diabetics, and four times if they suffer of any digestive diseases.
In women, mortality increased twice as much, eight more times if they were diabetics and three more times if they suffer of any digestive diseases.
Obesity is associated with a large number of complications that cause severe damage to the health and lowers the life expectancy of these patients.
